The village of Islamorada and its partners are conducting a Parking Master Plan that will analyze parking supply, demand, operations, and management practices during both peak and non-peak times.
The purpose of this Plan is to make physical and policy recommendations based on an overall analysis of specific conditions in Islamorada, public feedback, and industry-best practices for the efficient use of the Village’s parking resources.
Islamorada is located in the Florida Keys. The boundaries are from approximately Mile Marker (MM) 90 to MM 72. Islamorada is a tourism-oriented community approximately an hour south of Miami consisting of six islands spanning 18 miles.
Islamorada—the islands of Tea Table Key, Indian Key Fill, Lower Matecumbe Key, Upper Matecumbe Key, Windley Key, and Plantation Key—is more than just a village of Islands. In relation to the Parking Master Plan, Islamorada is a very diverse and busy area:
- 18 Miles Long
- 6 Keys (Islands)
- 2,934 Parking Spaces
